Dubawi Island

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

  • An exclusive 55,000m2 boutique hotel and villa development located on a disconnected island off the Dubai coastline. It is directly adjacent to The Palm Jumeirah. Zabeel Properties's objective was to develop a sustainable resort that offered luxury and privacy for its guests. The scheme was developed to a level of sustainability equivalent to USGBC LEED GOLD standard.

Eden Court Theatre and Cinema

Inverness, United Kingdom

  • Eden Court is the largest arts centre in Scotland. Its redevelopment increased main auditorium capacity and established a smaller theatre and two new cinemas. Other aspects of the redevelopment included landscaping works and upgrading of the historic Bishop's Palace.

Fabrica

Manchester, United Kingdom

  • Located on Great Ancoats Street, adjacent to the Islington Wharf, New Islington and Albion Works masterplan areas, the site at Pollard Street engages with these developments and draws together what was a fragmented edge of the city fringe.

Graham Sports Centre and Boat House, Durham University

County Durham, United Kingdom

  • The Graham Sports Centre at Maiden Castle is the main site for Durham University Sport and it was selected to appear in London Organising Committee Pre-Games Training Camp Guide.

Hackney Picture House

London, United Kingdom

  • The conversion of a music venue into an art house cinema was part of the plans to regenerate Hackney. The new facility provides a four-screen cinema, creating a 550-seat venue.

Hampton Hotel

Brasov, Romania

  • Cundall was appointed to provide the building services engineering, sustainable design and fire consulting for this new-build Hampton by Hilton Hotel in Brasov. The Hampton hotels chain is the affordable brand that is part of Hilton Worldwide. This development will be the first hotel of its type in Romania.

Heworth Leisure Centre

Gateshead, United Kingdom

  • Part of Gateshead Council’s Building an Active Future Programme, this new build leisure centre has been constructed adjacent to an existing school and provides both school and community use.  The new complex boasts a Flowrider, the North East's first indoor surfing facility and only the third currently in the UK.

International Broadcasting Centre

London, United Kingdom

  • London was at the centre of global media attention during the 2012 Summer Olympics. The International Broadcasting Centre (IBC) accommodated more than 20,000 broadcasters, photographers and journalists during the Games. The IBC proved fundamental to the spectacular success of London 2012, having been the centre of operations for the Olympic Broadcasting Service (OBS) as well as the main hub for RHBs (Rights Holding Broadcasters).

Jumeirah Port Soller Spa Resort

Mallorca, Spain

  • This 5-star hotel and spa resort is located in a dramatic hill-top setting, adjacent to the sea in the Port of Soller, Mallorca, Spain. The building will be run by Jumeirah, the world-known Middle East hotel operators. Cundall has provided consultancy services for the LEED certification of the project and the construction process obtaining LEED 'Gold' score.

Jumeirah Zabeel Saray

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

  • The Ottoman Palace includes 38 villas and a five-star luxury hotel. The private villas will be built around one of the largest resident pools in Dubai. The five-star hotel is a 9-storey, 420-bedroom resort hotel which boasts the world’s largest Turkish bath. The complex has a total gross floor area (GFA) of 120,000m2.
