Cinépolis Cinemas

Cundall was appointed by Cinépolis Cinemas, the world’s third largest cinema operator, to provide design and construction supervision services for multiple cinema theatres. This marked their official entry into the Gulf region's movie theatre sector. Divided into three different categories (luxury, premium and VIP) of cinematic experience, Cinépolis Cinemas are geared towards regional requirements by offering family-focused screenings and gastronomic food and beverage options.

Our team simultaneously provided engineering design services for six multi-screen theatres within Oman, UAE & Bahrain. They refined the design solutions that Cinépolis Cinemas adopt for their cinemas to ensure they are code compliant, and value engineered to provide optimum value and fit for purpose for new and existing malls. The structural engineering solutions were particularly challenging, requiring Cundall to engage with the base build designers to provide a design solution that was compatible with the design capacities of the structure.
