Cundall Edinburgh, New Clarendon

Our new home in the Scottish capital

Modern office lounge with large windows, a long bench table, seating area, indoor plants, and exposed ceiling ducts. Natural light fills the space.

Situated in a UNESCO World Heritage site, the fit-out of Cundall’s Edinburgh office focused on the circular economy and prioritised the health and wellbeing of our people. Our building services and sustainability teams set new standards for office spaces by showcasing how putting carbon reduction at the forefront can enhance design.

Working alongside SPACE Solutions, we focused on the circular economy and brought many second-hand pieces to the office. The team ensured that items such as desks and chairs were cohesive, practical, and met our high standards for workplace. As a result, this office furniture contains much lower volatile organic compound (VOC) than brand new pieces, resulting in a better air quality, something that the office is actively tracking.

Lucia Savastano, Principal Engineer, commented, “Our approach reflects a commitment to health and wellbeing principles, ensuring the workplace supports both physical and mental wellbeing in line with international frameworks.”
