Our team is proud to have received two awards at the BCO Scottish Awards on Friday. Our Edinburgh office fit-out was awarded the ESG Award and 20 Brandon Street won Corporate Workplace.
The BCO Awards celebrate excellence in office design, functionality and sustainability, setting the benchmark for best-in-class workplaces across the country.
Our Edinburgh office fit-out, designed in partnership with Space Solutions, placed a strong emphasis on circular economy and prioritised the health and wellbeing of our people. It sets a new standard for workspaces and is the lowest carbon emission Category B office fit-out that Cundall has assessed. The space is the perfect home for our Edinburgh team.
Celebrating our success, John McLoughlin, Partner, said: “We’re incredibly proud that our Edinburgh office fit-out has been recognised for its strong ESG credentials, celebrating sustainability, social value, and governance, alongside innovation in net zero operation and material reuse. Winning the ESG Award and receiving a Highly Commended mention for Projects up to 2,500m² is a fantastic achievement. Thank you to the BCO and to everyone who contributed to this project, especially our brilliant Cundall team.”.
20 Brandon Street is a refurbishment project that transformed a historic B‑listed former printworks into a cohesive, connected and flexible workspace. The project placed a strong emphasis on sustainability, inclusivity and occupant wellbeing, and we were pleased to provide both structural and building services engineering for the project.
Tony Centola, Partner, also commented, “20 Brandon Street was an exceptional project for our Edinburgh office to be involved with, and I am pleased to see it recognised by the BCO as the Corporate Workplace category winner. This win showcases our experience and excellence in designing workplace projects, and is a testament to the great work we have done with MLA.”
Congratulations to all involved in the projects and the other award winners. We look forward to taking our projects forward to the national BCO awards this October.
