Diageo engaged Cundall from the building search stage to locate, assess and then deliver their new London-based global headquarters. The multi-disciplinary Cundall team took the project from technical due diligence to AFL negotiations and then into the fit-out delivery, providing MEP, specialist lighting, fire, security and acoustics expertise. The team developed the brief through extensive stakeholder engagement with an interested and expert client, identifying further opportunities for SMART building, net zero carbon, inclusivity and sustainability within the scheme and providing experienced consultancy on each.

The Cundall multi-disciplinary team operated with a single point of contact with Diageo. This simplified project communications with the client and project management team, as well as funnelling information to the relevant disciplines seamlessly to streamline delivery.

In addition to our role on the fit-out, Cundall provided basebuild monitoring and designed variations to the Lazari Investments scheme to ensure the building support Diageo’s aspirations for an inclusive and flexible new home. The variations enable the building to support two best in class bars, four catering spaces including staff canteen and a variety of client dining, a digital customer engagement centre, flexible auditorium and first-class wellness facilities.

Kevin Hayes, Cundall Partner, said "Diageo’s aspirations for a flexible, inclusive workspace with sustainability and wellness integral to the design have led to several innovations on the project. A dedicated wellness floor at the top of the building and a staff bar and shop at ground level are just some of the facilities included in the design. To support this, Cundall enhanced the building’s ventilation systems and deployed environmental space monitoring sensors and SMART technologies to help achieve the quality of environment such a progressive space required."
