PwC achieves the Middle East's first commercial platinum WELL certification

MENA 21 November 2022

PwC Middle East's regional head office in Dubai has become one of the first offices in the region to be certified WELL Platinum by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI).

PwC is committed to healthy behaviour and as such, its leadership team embraced the introduction of the WELL Building Standard into the office design, working in close collaboration with Cundall and Say Studio.

This performance-based system measures, certifies and monitors features of the built environment that directly impact human health and wellbeing and has proven to have a direct correlation with employee performance, happiness and retention. Platinum is the highest possible level of certification and positions the office as an exemplar healthy workspace.

“We embarked on a journey to change our way of working and offer a much more inviting, environmentally friendly and collaborative working space in our new, state of the art PwC office in Dubai. Cundall played an instrumental role in this journey, acting as true business partners throughout the design and fit-out of the office. The end result is an office which people love to work in and which supports the wellbeing of our staff” said Sarah French, Head of Office Services and Real Estate, PwC Middle East.

Kavita Kumari
, Associate Director commented “We are proud to have been part of the process and assisting PwC Middle East throughout their journey, by providing both engineering and WELL consultancy services. The care they have for their staff reflects in this WELL Platinum certification.”

The office was also the first project in Europe and the Middle East to achieve the WELL Health and Safety rating.
