International Women in Engineering Day: Celebrating 50 Years of Women Powering Progress
Every year on 23rd June, International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) celebrates the achievements of women across the engineering profession and highlights the opportunities our industry creates for future generations.
This year’s theme, Engineering Intelligence, goes beyond technical expertise to recognise the importance of creativity, collaboration, cultural awareness and problem-solving. It also shines a light on how diverse perspectives help drive more inclusive, innovative outcomes, and why nurturing the next generation of female talent matters.
To mark the occasion, we asked some of our colleagues to share their experiences. They reflected on how they demonstrate engineering excellence, the changes they want to see over the next 50 years, the myths they would like to challenge, and the moments that have shaped their careers.
