We are pleased to announce that last week, Cundall took home three wins and a highly commended at the British Council for Offices (BCO) Northern Awards 2025. We are incredibly proud to be recognised at this prestigious award ceremony, which brings together the best talent and creativity in the workplace sector from across the North.

Eden in Manchester, New Bailey excelled, winning in the Commercial Workplace and the ESG award categories. In the Projects up to 2,500 sq ft category, The Isaacs House also earned a win, and Havelock in Manchester was highly commended in the Refurbished/Recycled Workplace category.

Receiving wins across such a range of categories is a showcase of our experience and excellence in designing workplace projects. We are proud of the dedication of our teams and the collaborative spirit applied to these projects.

Eden is a 12-storey office development in the Salford Central New Bailey development scheme. The building is the first new build in the UK to achieve a 5.5 NABERS Design Reviewed Target Rating, as well as holding certifications such as BREAAM Outstanding and WiredScore Platinum.

The Isaacs House is serving as the new home for HBD's head office, part of the ‘Heart Of The City’ Sheffield city centre development scheme. The office spans 12,800 sq ft over three floors, offering a modern, sustainable, and flexible workspace for over 90 employees. This relocation aims to foster collaboration, attract new talent, and support employee wellbeing with various amenities, as well as aligning with Henry Boot's goal of reducing its carbon footprint, targeting net zero carbon by 2030. The Isaacs Building, which has a BREEAM Very Good rating, is connected to Sheffield’s District Energy Network for sustainable energy.

Havelock is the latest addition to Manchester’s commercial landscape, boasting a 110,700 sq ft retrofit and extension of two more floors to the existing concrete frame. Complete with full access raised floors on every level, as well as on-site amenities such as a wellness studio, gym, café and bike storage. The Grade A office space has achieved NABERS 5*, an A EPC and is targeting BREAAM Outstanding, which if achieved will make it the only completed retrofit in Manchester to hold that rating.

Reflecting on the success, Paul Kenyon commented: “I couldn’t be prouder of our teams. Their commitment to excellence and collaboration drives the success of our projects, delivering firsts in the region accreditations and really pushing the workplace sector to design more sustainably. Congratulations to everyone involved.”
