We are delighted to share that our Newcastle office at Bank House has been awarded Fit-out of the Year at the Insider North East Property Awards 2026.

These awards celebrate the region’s most outstanding developments, projects and property professionals, recognising schemes that demonstrate innovation, quality and positive impact.

Our Newcastle office fit-out challenges the traditional office, with just 30% of the floorplate dedicated to desks and the majority given to a diverse range of flexible working spaces. The result is a modern, hospitality‑inspired workplace that has transformed how our teams experience their day.

Judges praised the project’s strong focus on wellbeing, inclusion and flexibility, highlighting how the variety of workspaces creates genuine choice for individuals and sets the fit-out apart as a leading example of the contemporary workplace. Biophilic design principles, access to natural light and sound masking support comfort and focus, while circular design strategies, including the reuse of existing furniture, reinforce the project’s sustainability credentials.

Another Cundall project, Pilgrim’s Quarter, was awarded Commercial Development of the Year, demonstrating the strength of development across the North East.
