Space Solutions

The fit-out of Bank House’s 10th floor redefines the modern workplace, transforming into a people-focused environment centred on wellbeing, flexibility, and collaboration. Featuring biophilic design, diverse workspaces, and immersive arrival experiences, the space supports neurodiversity and individual working styles. Key areas include The Park, Oasis wellbeing room, and The Cave media space, all designed to foster creativity, productivity, and connection within a sustainable, community-driven framework.

Cundall led the design and delivery of this innovative fit-out, embedding circularity and sustainability throughout. We reused and refurbished furniture, engaged local suppliers from across the North East, and integrated energy-efficient systems such as widescreen curved monitors which were chosen over dual screens and docks, reducing energy consumption while enhancing user experience. Our multidisciplinary team created a dynamic layout with acoustic zoning, natural materials, and adaptable lighting. From the tessellated acoustic ceiling clouds and the moss-panelled boardroom, to planting within the park area which improves air quality, boosts well being and supports productivity. every detail reflects our commitment to low-carbon design and operational excellence in our new global headquarters.

Jim Allen, Partner, commented ‘The design of our new headquarters reflects the creativity and expertise of our team, and the considerate, multi-disciplinary design that is behind every one of our projects. We’ve created a space that prioritises natural light, acoustic comfort and the wellbeing of our staff. The space is flexible, welcoming and built to be adapted for both work and client events.
