Asia 27 September 2023

The Cundall Hong Kong team is pleased to share news we have been shortlisted at the Hong Kong Green Building Award 2023 under both New Building Projects category and Green Building Leadership category.

The Hong Kong Green Building Award
is an industry-wide award co-organised by the Hong Kong Green Building Council and Professional Green Building Council (PGBC) to recognise building-related projects and organisations with outstanding performance and contributions in sustainability and the built environment. This year’s theme is ‘Embracing Wellbeing • Excellence in Sustainable Built Environment’, with a focus on nominees who can stretch the boundaries of sustainability across the industry and accelerate Hong Kong’s development into a city that provides wellbeing for all.

Three of our recent projects have been shortlisted in the New Building Category. The Transport Department Vehicle Examination Complex is being recognised under Completed Projects – Institutional; the other two projects, Immigration Headquarter in Tseung Kwan O and District Court Building at Caroline Hill Road, are being nominated under Projects Under Construction and / or Design – Institutional.

In addition, Cundall Hong Kong has been shortlisted under the Green Building Leadership category along with other consultants in the industry such as AECOM, Leigh & Orange, and WSP (Asia).

This year’s Hong Kong Green Building Award has received over 140 nominations, and we are very glad to have stood out in this competitive field and be recognised by the judging panel.

“We are grateful for the Hong Kong Green Building Council, PGBC, and the jury panel in recognising our efforts in accelerating Hong Kong’s sustainable development in the built environment. We hope our Zero Carbon Design 2030 commitment will enable us to collaborate and encourage our peers in paving a net zero future in Hong Kong,” said Joe Tang, Hong Kong office Director.
