Carole O’Neil wins Chartered Director of the Year Award

UK and Europe 06 May 2022

The Institute of Directors (IoD) has awarded Carole O’Neil the Chartered Director of the Year Award at the annual Director of the Year for Yorkshire and North East awards ceremony.

Carole, HR and Training Partner, has been a key member of the Cundall team for 15 years. In that time she has developed her role beyond leading the global HR team to cover a much wider range of roles in the wider management of the practice.

Carole also sits on Cundall’s global management board, elected by the wider partner group, to help run the practice day to day. Her role includes driving strategy within the business ensuring operational systems, processes and people are aligned with the overall strategic agenda.

Tomás Neeson
, Managing Partner said “Carole’s receipt of this prestigious award is a delightful recognition of her talent, and well deserved, but certainly not a total shock. Not only is she the only Chartered Female Director in the North East but she scored the highest exam total in the region and has subsequently been recognised by the very prestigious Institute of Directors.

Carole’s achievements in her time at Cundall are truly inspirational to all. From her earliest days with Cundall, Carole has striven to do everything to make this practice the best place for the best talent across our global reach. This has included spending significant time working across the global business based in both Hong Kong and Australia. Her contribution to the running of Cundall is outstanding and she is fully deserving of this award. Congratulations from us all at Cundall.”
