The Sheffield College, which is Ofsted graded ‘good’, is a further and higher education college that provides academic, vocational and professional qualifications to approximately 13,000 young people and adults a year.

The college offers a broad curriculum that includes apprenticeships, vocational diplomas, A Levels, T Levels, access courses, and foundation and honours degrees.

Our Vertical Transportation team has provided lift maintenance management and contract management to The Sheffield College for circa 30 lifts, over three different campus locations.

Working closely with the college, our team developed a bespoke lift maintenance contract and managed the tendering process. The resulting new contract enabled the College to receive a higher level of coverage for a lower cost. It also improved response times and reduced lift downtime. Monthly maintenance management meetings are held to monitor the completion of works and to provide additional advice to the client.

Graham Barker
, Partner, commented ‘The Cundall lift consultants undertook equipment condition surveys to asses the colleges equipment, developed and understanding of the colleges requirements and learnings from previous contracts, then produced a bespoke maintenance specification inclusive of schedules of rates and different service options. We managed the tender process including review of tender returns and post tender interviews and supporting the college through the contract award process.'
