Lusail Medicinal and Educational District Masterplan

The Lusail City is located North of Doha, spreading over an area of 38km² with a waterfront location stretching over 28km. This ‘city of the future’ boasts a light rail network and will house more than 200,000 residents. Cundall was appointed for the Lusail Medical and Educational Districts 1 and 2 project.

Our team provided the design guidelines, regulations and concepts used to create each precincts character and design standard. The emphasis of the masterplan was residential, medical and education, also integrating the Lusail Light Rail Transit (LRT) network, which we were appointed on under separate commission. The scope included utilities reviews, concept lighting strategies and street and pedestrian relationships.
