The project involved the demolition of an existing car park and service yard to make way for a new Nickelodeon Family entertainment unit, bowling alley, indoor golf and numerous restaurants.

The location of the new building contained all live services for the existing shopping centre. Multiple bespoke pile and ground beam arrangements were required to achieve an acceptable separation between services and the new building. All pile caps were prefabricated to minimise the hazards associated with working in an excavation and to increase construction speed.

Alex Carter, Partner at Cundall, commented "Cundall’s work involved site attendance throughout the full design process to ensure structural solutions for the new building integrated with the existing shopping centre."
