Cundall Dubai’s 400m2 office ensures a healthy working environment, keeping staff well-being as a top priority. Multiple features have been included within the office design to highlight the building services, structural and acoustic elements of the office. A feature has been made by exposing mechanical and electrical services and includes the use of innovative cardboard ductwork within the main open plan office.

The structural team was engaged to design three unique elements for the office: a cantilevered break-out table, a cantilevered reception seating bench and a parametrically modelled boardroom ceiling. The elements provided a unique way to showcase the skills of the team, while forming beautiful elements in our own office. Biophilic design is also used throughout the office to promote health and wellbeing.

Jon Lee, Head of Acoustics, commented "One of the main challenges involved educating the design team, contractor and sub-contractors on the construction standards and quality of materials that were needed to ensure compliance with the WELL Building Standard. At the time the concept of WELL was relatively new in Dubai, so this required close supervision with all parties involved on the project."
