Two shortlists at the Structural Steel Design Awards 2025

UK and Europe 27 August 2025

Cundall has proudly contributed to two of the shortlisted projects for the Structural Steel Design Awards 2025, which celebrate innovative and functional spaces that are exemplar in their usage of steelwork.

The flowing, double-curvature steel-framed roof of the All England Lawn Tennis Club’s Indoor Tennis Club (ITC), for which Cundall undertook the structural design, is a fantastic example of how complex and spatially constrained structures can be made to look effortless with clever engineering and close multi-disciplinary coordination.

David Rivers, Partner who led the ITC project, comments on the shortlist: “Our focus has always been not only on providing effective solutions for our clients but also creating elegant and beautiful buildings that showcase what the profession can achieve. The ITC is a wonderful example of this, and we’re delighted that it has been recognised”.

Cundall also contributed to another shortlisted project, 21 Moorfields, a flagship, high-specification office development in London, by providing building services, sustainability and vertical transportation services.

The award ceremony will take place in October and the whole shortlist is available here: Structural Steel Design Awards | About SSDA | BCSA
