Cundall is proud to announce that three of its projects have been shortlisted for the prestigious RIBA North West Awards 2024. Among the contenders are the Copperas Hill Student Life and Sports Building at Liverpool John Moores University, The Lincoln and the Leonardo Hotel in Manchester.

The Copperas Hill Student Life and Sports Building is a new and vibrant student and sports building at the heart of Liverpool John Moore University (LJMU). Designed to seamlessly integrate into the city's landscape, the building enhances the student experience at LJMU.

Similarly, The Lincoln is a BREEAM Excellent, statement office building in the heart of Manchester city centre. This building’s design has also been recognised at the BCO Northern Awards 2023 as winner of the Commercial Workplace award.

We end the shortlist with a unique hotel project - the Leonardo Hotel in Manchester. The new building will accommodate 275 bedrooms, meeting rooms, a large ground floor restaurant and back of house areas. These projects highlight Cundall's commitment to excellence in design and engineering. Their journey to a sustainable built environment is paved with innovative, creative design complemented by amazing architectural concepts.

"We are incredibly proud to have three of our projects shortlisted for the RIBA North West Awards," said Paul Kenyon, Partner at Cundall. "This acknowledgment reflects the dedication of our talented team and our commitment to pushing the boundaries of architecture and engineering."

The RIBA North West Awards celebrate architectural achievement and excellence in design across the region. Being shortlisted for these prestigious awards highlights the exceptional quality of projects produced by Cundall.

Winners will be announced later this spring after being judged by a local jury headed up by Citizens Design Bureau founder Katy Marks.
