Patil Sarkissian and Thais Sartori have recently become NABERS accredited embodied carbon assessors, becoming the first in their respective offices to do so and amongst some of the first in Australia to obtain such an achievement.

Launched at the end of 2024, NABERS Embodied Carbon provides a robust framework for new buildings and partial rebuilds to measure and compare their upfront embodied carbon with similar buildings. It provides a certified measure of carbon intensity, incorporating material, transport and construction emission.

With two accredited assessors in our Australian ESD team, Cundall is committed to the ambitious upfront carbon emissions reduction targets set up by NABERS and Green Star. This includes supporting clients from the earliest stages of a project, including setting an overall certification strategy and identifying opportunities to optimise a ESD approach across all design stages, from early design through to the final certification process.
