She has nearly a decade of experience driving sustainability within facilities management and the built environment, with particular focus on precinct and master planning in the higher education sector. Kylie has collaborated with the GBCA on various iterations of the Green Star tools, ensuring they are effectively rolled out, as well as providing feedback to enhance the tool’s overall practicality and impact in the industry.

Simon Liley is a Principal Sustainability Consultant in Cundall’s Melbourne office. Throughout his career working with Green Star he has focused on embedding sustainability as a fundamental part of a project that helps deliver comfortable, healthy and efficient places for both people and planet. He has a passion for ‘making it real’ by setting strong strategy and following through into construction and operation.

Jorge Chapa, Chief Impact Officer, at GBCA said "I applaud both Kylie and Simon for the excellence they have demonstrated in their respective areas of expertise at Cundall. Their ongoing commitment to sustainability in the built environment and Green Star has had a meaningful and lasting impact on our industry. Being recognised as Green Star Champions for 2025 is a well-deserved honour and a testament to their dedication and influence."

Commenting on her achievement, Kylie said, “I am honoured to be named as a Green Star Champion, joining an amazing cohort of industry advocates and Cundall colleagues who have inspired me throughout my career. The GBCA has driven major change in creating sustainable buildings and communities and I both have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of that journey and look forward to what is to come.”

Simon added, “having recently celebrated 10 years working as an ESD consultant with the Green Star tool, I am delighted to be recognised as a Champion. I have seen first-hand the role Green Star is playing to raise the bar and future proof our buildings across a wide range of sectors, from social housing and commercial to industrial.”
