Towering 23 metres above sea level, the striking public artwork was created by Australian artist Mikala Dwyer and commissioned by Lendlease and Infrastructure NSW. The five sculptural forms rise and move with the tides, wind and currents, and the project is recognised as one of the largest floating and kinetic artworks in the world.

Inspired by fishing floats, the artwork pays tribute to Indigenous fisherwomen and adds a powerful new layer of meaning to the harbour.

Cundall’s team provided electrical engineering expertise, solving complex challenges around cabling and water exposure to ensure the installation performs reliably in a marine environment.
