Harbour Area Treatment Scheme (HATS) of the Drainage Services Department (DSD) is certified as BEAM Plus Platinum.

As part of the scheme, Cundall provided mechanical contractor, ATAL, with mechanical services design and BEAM support to the workshop building in Stonecutters Island. The building served as one of the components for this environmental infrastructure project, and we are delighted to share the great news of this achievement.

HATS is by far the city’s largest sewerage infrastructure project, located in Stonecutter Island, performing as one of the upgrading works for Stonecutters Island Sewage Treatment Works. This project is procured under a Design and Build project arrangement, with an objective to improve the water quality of Victoria Harbour. This project was implemented in two stages and spanned over two decades.

HATs was targeted for BEAM Plus Platinum, and the project was certified for Platinum rating by HKGBC BEAM Plus in December 2019.
