Cundall taps talent of Indian engineers with new office opening in Bengaluru

Asia 25 August 2023

Cundall is pleased to announce the opening of a new office in Bengaluru, India. The new office aims to leverage the high level of engineering talent in India, allowing those employed by the practice to add their expertise to myriad global projects without having to relocate.

Located in the heart of Bengaluru, the newest global office is the third to be opened by Cundall this year. The decision to open an office in India reflects significant economic growth in the region, as well as requests from existing global clients for Cundall to support their local development plans.

Commenting on the news, Rajeev Bhargavan, Operations Director, said:

“I am hugely excited to lead the new Bengaluru team and be part of Cundall’s global expansion. There is a wealth of talented engineers produced in India, but so often they must head overseas to further their careers. The new Cundall office offers our engineers the opportunity to collaborate with global teams on high-profile international projects from India, and we are looking forward to adding to the already excellent project work by our Cundall colleagues.”

In recent years, engineers and designers employed by Cundall have had the privilege to work on landmark construction projects around the globe, including The Storm Coaster, a Guinness World Record breaking rollercoaster in Dubai, the Greater Muscat Structure Plan, some of the world’s biggest data centres, and the Zhuhai Banzhang Mountain Footbridge and Observation Tower in China.

The Bengaluru office will initially operate on the strategic work-sharing model that has been successful in Cundall’s Bucharest office for many years.

Carole O’Neil
, Cundall’s Managing Partner, added:

“This new Bengaluru office has been set up as a place to leverage the local engineering excellence on our global projects. The highly skilled labour market makes India an attractive place to invest and grow, allowing Cundall to augment the scale at which we deliver solutions globally. I have no doubt that the talent and expertise of the locally sourced team will complement our ever-expanding global workforce, and I look forward to seeing what we can achieve together.”

The new Bengaluru office is Cundall’s 26th global office, following the opening of the Riyadh and Bristol offices earlier this year. The practice is also moving forwards with plans to open an office in the Philippines and will make further announcements in the coming months.
