IStructE UAE presents The Storm Coaster

On 28 February Calum Perey, Principal Structural Engineer, will present about the parametric modelling behind the world record breaking Storm Coaster. This hybrid event is hosted by the IStructE UAE Regional Group Committee.

The Storm is a first-of-its-kind indoor rollercoaster in Dubai. Standing 50 meters tall, with a 670-metre track wrapping its way through the building, the rollercoaster pushes the boundary of all aspects of design. The Storm redefines what is possible for an indoor rollercoaster, containing multiple inversions and a world's first vertical magnetic propulsion system.

Calum will dive into all aspects of digital engineering that were paramount to the success of this project. This is a hybrid event that will be held at Heriot Watt University, Dubai with streaming on Zoom and YouTube.
