Triton was the last facility to be constructed on the Redhill Business Park masterplan site. It offers 115,180ft2 (1,700m2) area for manufacturing, suitable for either B2 (general industrial) or B8 (storage and distribution) use along with a two-story office area.
Having originally been appointed to design the speculative manufacturing facility, our team was asked by the new building tenant to complete their CAT B fit-out for the office and warehouse. We used skills and site understanding to future-proof the building services system to allow for further office accommodation above the existing first floor offices. The team also coordinated service designs with the high-level racking systems, assembly and packaging areas within the warehouse, and externally within the service yard.
Eddie Allen, Associate Director commented: “The new tenant had specific aspirations with regards to the reduction of building energy consumption. Therefore, the scheme included a significant PV array at roof level, with the capability for future battery storage integration. This enhancement will assist with tasks such as the charging of forklifts outside of their working shift patterns, minimising disruption.”
Our team’s prior site knowledge and understanding allowed us to provide the client with the best options for expansion and achieve the health and wellbeing goals required for their staff.
