I completed my integrated masters at the University of Bath, which included a 2019/20 placement year at Cundall, where I primarily worked on hyper-scale data centres across Europe. Since graduating, I have been working on a mix of complex listed refurbishment projects and challenging new-build projects in central London, spanning various sectors. As I work towards chartership, I aim to integrate robust, high-level concept design with sustainability principles to deliver elegant and practical structural solutions.

Creativity

Every problem is different, and that's what makes structural engineering so engaging for me. It challenges you to explore every opportunity while appreciating the context in which you are working. By creatively leveraging these constraints, the final solution often presents itself.

Collaboration

The whole project team shares a common goal, but getting there can be tricky. I have found that communication and early engagement, both internally and externally, often leads to a better product and a smoother process. For example, early collaboration with an archaeologist on a project to coordinate the foundation strategy can play a significant role in securing planning permission.
