Paul Spanswick

I have been working within the vertical transportation (VT) industry since 1990, gaining design experience in both electrical / electronic and mechanical disciplines by apprenticing at a global lift company. Since 2007, I have been working in consultancy on new construction and refurbishment projects across all sectors in various countries and have had the opportunity to gain a vast amount of experience in the field.

My passion is in refurbishment and the replacement aspect of the industry as I enjoy visualising the project from start to finish before even leaving the site during the first condition survey. This allows me to convey the project to the client in a concise way, ensuring from the get-go that their requirements will be met.

Collaborating with local and global design teams on a range of projects allows me to learn from other engineering disciplines and see how the VT elements interface with other aspects of building design, all within a creative and friendly environment where everyone’s ideas are listened to and given equal weight.
