Mia Poppelwell

After completing my third year of Civil Engineering at Heriot-Watt University, I joined Cundall in 2023 as a summer intern within the Structures team. Since then, I have continued working with the team full-time during the summer, and part-time alongside my studies. I am currently pursuing my master’s degree, and my experience at Cundall has been invaluable in shaping my passion for structural engineering

Being part of the Edinburgh Structural Engineering team has allowed me to work on exciting projects, gain practical site experience, and learn from my colleagues’ expertise. Collaborating with other teams, has broadened my perspective and helped me develop a more well-rounded and practical approach to engineering

Cundall’s sustainability targets have been an important part of my journey with the company, and they strongly resonate with me. Since joining, I have gained valuable knowledge of sustainability tools and contributed to supporting the team in delivering more environmentally responsible design solutions.
