Haytham Ayoub

As a sustainability strategist and net-zero transition expert, I bridge engineering innovation with climate action to drive systemic change. With a Master’s in Sustainable Engineering building on my foundational Mechanical Engineering degree, I specialise in decarbonising energy systems and scaling clean technologies. Over 15 years, I’ve led multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-impact sustainability solutions for governments, corporations, and education institutions - ranging from optimising industrial energy efficiency to designing circular economy roadmaps. My research, published in peer-reviewed journals, has centered on enhancing the resilience of sustainability and renewable energy systems. This includes the development of innovative solutions such as dust-resistant solar capture technology, which has been recognised with awards for its impact. In 2024, I joined Cundall's MENA team to lead and drive sustainability services in Saudi Arabia.

Collaboration is at the heart of addressing complex sustainability challenges. By bringing together diverse perspectives and expertise, we can achieve collective action that no single entity or discipline can accomplish alone. Personally, I thrive in an environment where collaboration is a core value, as it not only makes work more enjoyable but also significantly amplifies our impact. This approach not only enhances our collective problem-solving capabilities but also creates a more inclusive and dynamic workplace.
