Fazel Bashir

Since joining Cundall Dubai in 2016, my focus has been on leading the structures team and strengthening the Cundall brand in the region. With a bachelor of civil engineering from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada, I am a chartered structural engineer with Engineers Canada, the Institution of Structural Engineers, and Dubai Municipality. Today, I lead the structures team regionally across the Middle East and India, having had the opportunity to contribute to many iconic projects, including high-rise towers in King Abdullah Financial District and the Landmark Tower in Abu Dhabi.   

I believe that strong technical knowledge is the foundation of engineering excellence. I strive for and promote engineering excellence across our regional teams, operations and project delivery. The product of such work not only brings satisfaction to the project wide team but also is immensely rewarding for me.  

We work collectively as a team across the region, delivering successful projects at both discipline and multi-disciplinary levels. This success stems from the regular collaboration that we foster, both internally at Cundall and with our stakeholders, including clients, project managers, architects and contractors. I am passionate about bringing people together by creating platforms for team members to share their knowledge, experience and skills with one another.
