When I was young, I remember seeing the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge being constructed from the back seat of my parents’ car. I had already decided that I wanted to pursue something technical involving design, and once I discovered that the bridge was built by civil engineers, my mind was made up.
I am now a chartered civil engineer with over 20 years’ experience delivering a wide range of projects, including at least one bridge, although it’s not as impressive as the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge!
Excellence
What I enjoy most about my job is the amazing young people I get to work with and the role I can play in helping them become the best engineers they can be. Supporting them as they use their skills to innovate how we deliver projects is incredibly rewarding.
Creativity
Everything we do as engineers is now shaped by discussions around sustainability, but in reality, good economic, pragmatic design remains the cornerstone of all sustainable developments. These values have always been fundamental to civil engineering. At Cundall, we maintain a strong balance between pushing the boundaries of new technology and techniques, whilst staying grounded in the underlying principles that ensure resilient design.
