Growing up in Zimbabwe, I developed a passion for infrastructure development, especially water management. Exploring the country's innumerable canals, dams, and waterways, I witnessed the critical need for proper planning and investment. At 18, I pursued Civil Engineering at the University of Cape Town, earning an MSc. I then spent a couple of years working in South Africa and Sierra Leone before moving to the UK in 2015.
Creativity
In civil engineering, I recognise that no two sites are the same. This is especially true in flood risk management, where site layout, topology, rainfall, stormwater, and flood discharge vary significantly. Each site also has its own unique infrastructure and transportation needs. I creatively manage stormwater, flood risk, and site infrastructure, ensuring bespoke, case-by-case solutions.
Excellence
I focus on engineering excellence by delivering holistic solutions to client challenges by past projects and applying those lessons to future endeavours. Developing a style of clear communication and collaboration is essential to my approach. Continuous self-improvement through training, and robust systems enable me to achieve outstanding results on my projects consistently.
