Athanasios Liaskonis

My keen interest in geography, physics and understanding man-made environments steered me toward civil engineering. One week in university was enough to know it was my destiny. I joined Cundall in 2021 following my studies at the University of Patras in Greece and an MSc in Flood Risk Management at Newcastle University. I have been a chartered member of the Institution of Civil Engineers since 2025.

Genuine love for engineering and perfection are the key characteristics that enable me to push myself above and beyond to learn, create and implement something new in every project.

Striving for continuous excellence is not easy, but Cundall makes it possible. I’m grateful for being surrounded by like-minded people who make innovating a fun and rewarding activity. Being able to collaborate directly with other disciplines in the company allows me to explore the true reach of civil engineering and together develop pioneering solutions for our clients’ most challenging problems.
