I spent my childhood taking the door handles off, disassembling the TV remote and generally spending my time tinkering to find out how things worked.
As I grew older, this interest extended to the built environment, specifically how to minimise the energy, carbon, and cost impact of occupation. Studying at the University of Reading for both an Undergraduate in Construction Management and a Masters in Renewable Energy, Technology and Sustainability has helped me to apply this interest to advise clients on sustainability risk management and decarbonisation of buildings.
Collaboration
Collaboration in the built environment is key to unlocking long-term sustainable development. Only by considering the whole building lifecycle can we address net zero. At Cundall, we share our knowledge and expertise between teams to provide holisitic advice to our clients to best position their assets accordingly to the changing climate.
Creativity
No two buildings or clients are the same. In my role creativity comes from finding practical solutions to complex challenges, and success often depends on interpreting data, engaging stakeholders, and rethinking assumptions to unlock value.
