Two award wins at the Structural Engineering Awards 2023

UK and Europe 01 March 2024

Cundall is proud to announce that we have won two awards in the South Eastern Counties Structural Engineering Awards 2023. All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) Indoor Tennis Centre won the medium project category and Ed Sheeran Mathematics Tour won the UK project award. To be recognised twice at these prestigious structural awards is a testament to our dedication to excellence and innovation.

Our structural team designed a new structure for AELTC consisting of six new indoor tennis courts alongside clubhouse facilities, six external clay courts, a player drop off point, improved operations for The Championships and an energy centre feeding other areas of the estate and Centre Court.

The Ed Sheeran Mathematics tour is the first to use a temporary demountable self-supporting cable structure. The first of its kind, it was designed to be easily transported, unloaded and rebuilt in stadia around the world.

, Partner commented "I'm thrilled by our wins at the Structural Engineering Awards (South Eastern Counties) for both the AELTC Indoor Tennis Centre and the Ed Sheeran Mathematics Tour. These two very different structures had complex, technical challenges which truly showcase our team's ability to innovate in order to meet our clients needs. The calibre of structural engineering presented on the night was extremely high, congratulations to all involved."
