The Cundall team celebrated a successful lunchtime awards ceremony last week, securing three wins at the BCO Midlands and Central England Awards.
Focusing on people, place and planet, this year’s awards recognised teams delivering exceptional workplaces across the region. Rob van Zyl, Chair of the BCO Midlands Committee and Partner at Cundall said: “The awards reflect the Midlands and Central England’s growing reputation for delivering high‑quality, sustainable workplaces - offices that not only perform well technically, but support wellbeing, productivity and positive social impact.”
19 Cornwall Street was named winner in the Refurbished/Recycled Workplace category. The project was recognised for its extensive use of recycled materials and its commitments to an operational net zero carbon approach. Judges praised the way the scheme delivers a modern and future ready workplace whilst retaining the strong sustainability credentials.
Three Chamberlain Square was a double winner in the Commercial Workplace and ESG categories. Judges highlighted the projects clear focus on sustainability, wellbeing and operational carbon throughout the design, redefining what is possible for a heritage building.
Commenting on the success, Michael Gosling, Partner, said: “We are just at the start of award season and it’s great to see both projects achieving fantastic recognition already. Being acknowledged by the British Council of Offices highlights the collaborative approach taken by the teams, resulting in two outstanding workplace projects for the Midlands.”
Category winners, 19 Cornwall Street and Three Chamberlain Square will now progress to the BCO National Awards held later this year in London.
