Theodor Bratosin, Senior Sustainability Engineer, has been recognised at the BCO NextGen Awards 2025 as their Inspirational Leader of the Year.
As noted by many, his leadership style is centred on honesty and ownership, setting an example that inspires others to take responsibility and strive for higher standards. Theodor not only raises the bar and supports his team with technical advice, he is also there when needed outside of projects.
"It's a true honour to be recognised by BCO NextGen as the Inspirational Leader of the Year. What inspires and motivates me are the people around me, whether that be my direct colleagues and mentors at Cundall or the wider industry peers," comments Theodor.
"I believe that we all can drive change and I try to do that by creating a more sustainable future and fostering open industry conversations. I want to empower people to succeed in their careers, so I hope to continue to do that in the years to come."
Theodor co-chairs Cundall's NextGen group in Manchester to provide early careers engineers with opportunities to develop their networks and expand their industry knowledge. Theodor is also the Vice Chair of the CIBSE Young Engineers Network in the North West, and is a Global Shaper Alumnus of the World Economic Forum, supporting the Manchester Hub's Climate Conversation project.
David Everington, Sustainability Associate comments, “His genuine commitment in and out of the office to sustainability endeavours, coupled with his sincere duty to people’s growth, are qualities that stand out in the achievement of this award.”
Congratulations to Theodor and the other winners for their achievements this year!
