Schneider Electric Dubai achieves WELL Equity and LEED Platinum

MENA 29 January 2026

Schneider Electric is leading the way in the UAE, becoming one of the first organisations in the country to achieve the WELL Equity Rating. This milestone sits alongside the project’s LEED Platinum and SmartScore Platinum certification, underscoring their commitment to creating workplaces that are not only sustainable but also inclusive, accessible and people‑centred.

As one of the earliest adopters of the WELL Equity Rating in the region, Schneider Electric is helping redefine what equitable workplace design looks like in the Middle East. The certification recognises how the company’s policies, programs, and physical environment support people of different backgrounds, abilities, and needs - setting a new benchmark for diversity, inclusion, and well‑being in the built environment.

Cundall played a pivotal role throughout the process. As the appointed WELL and LEED Accredited Professional, our team provided strategic guidance, technical expertise, and hands‑on support to help Schneider interpret the rating’s requirements and embed equity‑driven strategies into both operations and design. This collaborative approach ensured that the project’s sustainability ambitions aligned seamlessly with its people‑focused goals.

Achieving the WELL Equity Rating is expected to have a meaningful and lasting impact on Schneider Electric’s employees and visitors by fostering a more inclusive, supportive, and empowering workplace experience. Coupled with the project’s LEED Platinum certification - which drives exceptional environmental performance, energy efficiency, and long‑term operational resilience - the space delivers both people‑centred and sustainability‑led benefits.

Marc Lynch, Associate at Cundall, commented: “Schneider Electric’s achievement of WELL Equity and LEED Platinum, building on their earlier SmartScore Platinum certification, shows they are truly walking the talk on sustainability and progressing towards their net‑zero goals while prioritising staff wellbeing, diversity, and inclusion. These milestones reflect a genuine commitment to creating workplaces where everyone can thrive. We’re proud to have supported Schneider in delivering a space that sets a new benchmark for the region.”
