Rowshi Hussain named in Ground Engineering’s Top 20 Women 2026

UK and Europe 21 April 2026

We are proud to celebrate that Rowshi Hussain, Geoenvironmental Engineer, has been recognised as one of Ground Engineering magazine’s Top 20 Women in Ground Engineering for 2026. The list highlights influential and inspirational women who are making a meaningful impact across the discipline through technical excellence, leadership and commitment to progress.

Rowshi's award recognises her research into wireline logging techniques, adapting a method traditionally used in the oil and gas sector for ground investigation. Her work has helped demonstrate how borehole image logs can improve geohazard detection and project risk management. Alongside her technical research, Rowshi is a strong advocate for inclusive PPE and the wider adoption of innovation in geoenvironmental engineering. Through webinars, panels, forums, and mentoring, she has helped make advanced techniques more accessible and actionable across the industry. This recognition reflects both Rowshi’s valuable contributions and her role in helping to shape a more inclusive and forward-thinking industry. Awards like this are vital in improving visibility across the sector and inspiring the next generation of engineers.

“I am very grateful to be named as one of the Top 20 Women in Ground Engineering for 2026 among so many inspiring individuals. This acknowledgment reflects not only my dedication to advancing the industry and creating a more inclusive workplace, but also the support, collaboration, and encouragement I’ve received from colleagues and mentors throughout my career. Being included motivates me to continue pushing boundaries and championing the next generation of talent in our profession.” Rowshi comments.

Congratulations to Rowshi and all those included in the top 20 for 2026.
