On the 30 September, we welcomed university students to our London office for our first insight day in collaboration with The Land Collective. The day featured a series of engaging sessions, including introductions to the data centre and sustainability sectors, a day in the life of an engineer, a session exploring retrofit in the real world, and an introduction to our Zero Carbon Design 2030 global initiative.
The Land Collective is a youth-focused social mobility organisation dedicated to cultivating diversity, equity, and inclusion across the real estate and built environment. They connect under-represented groups with top companies, helping to develop the next generation of industry leaders and diversify the talent pipeline in the built environment sector.
Andrew Livesey, Partner, Data Centres, comments: “By partnering with The Land Collective, we’re investing in the next generation of diverse talent, which is essential for fostering innovation, driving excellence, and shaping a more inclusive future for the built environment. Together, we’re creating opportunities for students to explore various careers within the industry and develop the technical skills they need to succeed through guest talks and insight sessions."
We look forward to hosting future insight days with The Land Collective, where we'll introduce students to various disciplines within the business and sectors we operate in, both regionally and globally.
