As we transition towards a net zero-carbon future, one of the key strategies is to embrace the concept of a circular economy. We will be looking at this through the lens of design for our senses, particular in relation to sound.

Our session will focus on factors including: circularity as a mindset, net zero carbon products , systems and methodologies, internal soundscaping, using speech masking to offset carbon in partition design, designing for neurodiversity and generational cohorts and the rise (and fall?) of the meeting pod.

Andrew Parkin will share project examples and what circular economy and human-centric design looks like in practice.
