Dr Chaoming Yu, Associate Director, will be speaking at our third session for REDAS, which will close out the "The Engineering Approach to Asset Enhancement” workshop series.
This final session will explore the intricacies of zero carbon design against the backdrop of structural engineering, marking a shift in focus from previous sessions on building services engineering. We will discuss whole life carbon thinking and decarbonisation strategies from a structural design perspective, covering topics such as materials selection, facade solutions, structural optimisation and parametric modelling.
By integrating the engineering concepts discussed in all three sessions, property owners, investors, and developers will equip themselves with the knowledge required to unlock asset value and operate buildings that are efficient and environmentally sustainable.
