Cutting emissions from the built environment is urgently needed if we are to meet our climate goals. In the race to hit carbon reduction targets, existing buildings are the key.

For Qatar Sustainability Week 2022, Cundall will gather regional industry leaders for a panel discussion that will focus on the retrofit process and how we are going to achieve it, as well as the strategies that asset owners can adopt.

We will start with scene setting including the significance of this year and decade, then laying out the challenges the built environment faces if we are to play our part in achieving global climate targets. The panel will then open up to a facilitated discussion, highlighting how we can all play our part in increasing the value of existing assets to avoid the stranded scenario.

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Johnny Archer, Partner, Cushman & Wakefield
  • Ala'aldeen Farhan Ali Al-Soukni, Head of Quality, Health, Safety & Environment, UDC
  • Ahmad Bana, Technical Department Manager, Waseef
  • Zaki Ahmed Mohammed, Director Sustainability Advisory, GORD
