In support of the HKSAR Government's recent pledge to position Hong Kong as a leading sustainable finance hub in Asia and achieve carbon neutrality before 2050, the Construction Industry Council (CIC) has launched the CIC Sustainable Finance Certification Scheme in November 2021. This scheme provides a common framework and user-friendly assessment system to facilitate application of sustainable finance for the construction industry in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.
Based on the CPD webinar series The Overview of CIC SFCS that took place earlier, this Awareness Training aims to improve the public’s understanding of sustainable finance and the SFCS, bridging the knowledge gap between construction and sustainable finance. All industrial practitioners who fulfill the admission requirements are welcome to attend the training.
Edith Yu, Principal Consultant, and Hannah Wong, Principal Engineer, will provide a detailed and in-depth explanation of sustainable finance and the SFCS during the webinar.
