Kevin Hannah

I’ve always been drawn to science and practical problem-solving, and a civil engineering lesson before my A-levels sparked my interest in the field. After graduating with a honours degree in Building Services Engineering, I moved to London to work as a graduate engineer with the Property Services Agency. A year later I joined Cundall and I’ve been here ever since. My early work focused on leisure projects, particularly swimming pools across the UK, and over time I’ve developed a strong focus on education, working on numerous schools and building a deep understanding of Department for Education design standards. What I love most about building services is that you’re always learning - just when you think you’ve seen it all, something new comes along. 

Collaboration is a big part of how I work. I enjoy leading teams, but I also value working closely with others to share ideas and solve challenges together. One of the most fulfilling aspects of my role is mentoring younger engineers, helping them grow, develop their skills, and find their own path in the industry. I believe that the best results come from a team that communicates well and supports each other, and I try to foster that environment in every project I’m involved in.   

To me, excellence means going beyond what’s expected. It’s about delivering solutions that not only meet the brief but add real value. I take pride in the quality of our work and the impact it has, whether that’s through innovative design, attention to detail, or simply making sure we’re listening to what clients need. I’m always looking for ways to improve and push the boundaries of what we can achieve, and I think that mindset is what keeps the work exciting.
