Jerryl Ong

I completed my master’s degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Southampton, specialising in Sustainable Energy Systems. Since then, I have applied my inclination towards energy and carbon flows to decarbonising our built environment. On a day-to-day basis, I use a sleuth of analytic methods to find solutions for reducing the holistic carbon impact of buildings.

I am keen on tackling novel challenges using a combination of approaches to arrive at solutions. I have developed feasibility calculators for low and zero carbon technologies such as solar photovoltaic and data centre heat recovery. In addition, I am now part of a specialised group for testing AI applications within Cundall.

I am fortunate to have had project work and development opportunities which led on to accolades such as the British Council for Offices (BCO) Graduate of the Year 2023, and Generation4Change North West New Professional of the Year 2024. I will continue to strive for the design and implementation of sustainable buildings surrounding us now and in the future.
