Danilo Cava

I joined Cundall in 2016 after obtaining Masters degree from the University of Calabria in Italy. During my academic years, I enjoyed and got a deep knowledge of computational mechanics and non-linear analysis of slender structures. That interest led me to publish a paper in the Thin-Walled Structures journal as the main author.

Since joining Cundall’s structural engineering team, I have become a Chartered Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers and have registered as a Chartered Engineer.

During my years at Cundall so far, I have been lucky to have the chance to work on many challenging projects that require either advanced analysis or the development of new tools and workflows. I enjoy new challenges as they keep me motivated to push mine and wider team’s boundaries, leading to improvements and innovation.

Over the years, I have worked on one-of-a-kind structures that had never been built before or designed to the same specifications. This provides me with white canvas to outline how the structures would look, work and be constructed.
