Candy Hui

I started my career in Hong Kong, studying Building Services Engineering before completing a master’s degree in Energy Systems in Sweden. Initially I worked for Cundall in Hong Kong and later joined the Manchester team in 2022. From the start, I have strived to lead the way in advancing sustainability goals. I am the sustainability global certification and wellbeing workstream team lead, while also supporting the Data Centres and Global Corporate Real Estate sectors regionally, applying my expertise across a diverse range of projects. 

Working in sustainability, the importance of constant innovation is made clear as we have to constantly shift our targets within the evolving landscape. We can’t wait for new regulations to push us into action; instead, we must be proactive and take the initiative to come up with new and creative ways that address cross-disciplinary challenges. 

Close, collaborative teamwork between all project disciplines is critical from a sustainability perspective. Open communication with stakeholders and embedding our advice early in the design process maximises the success of our sustainability targets and encourages continuous idea sharing.
