North West Priority Schools Building Programme

Cundall was appointed to provide multi-disciplinary services for the Priority Schools Building Programme (PSBP). Cundall delivered services across four primary and two secondary schools across the North West PSBP. Designs were developed in line with construction phasing to allow the new schools to be built safely whilst the existing schools remained operational.

The schools delivered under the NW PSBP were predominantly new build, with elements of re-modelling and refurbishment, and were designed to the Education Funding Agency's updated environmental output specification. We designed an initial 'exemplar primary school' to be signed off by the client before proceeding on to design the remaining schools. We participated in the Department for Education engagement process on each school to demonstrate our design philosophies.
