Tim Delane

I came into building services thanks to a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, which initially led to a graduate role designing water supply infrastructure. My practical, hands-on nature then led me into commercial construction where I managed design, construction and commissioning of building services. My passion is delivering buildings that outperform expectations and I am focused on proactively improving existing buildings as we move toward a Net Zero Carbon world.

I’ve always been driven by my curiosity and desire to learn. Approaching problems with an open mind and seeing challenges as an opportunity to learn the intricacies of different systems has allowed me to conceive innovative solutions and evaluate them practically and strategically.

My technical knowledge has been gleaned from colleagues, consultants, clients and contractors over many years and many projects by working closely with them to overcome challenges and deliver excellent outcomes. I find bringing together people with different capabilities to explore different views and options as a team can lead to unexpectedly elegant solutions.
